Today, the market is flooded with copies of Vlisco prints, as the famous drawings are now in the public domain. These copies are all similar fabrics. Super-wax is the best in wax-printed fabrics. For this product a denser woven cotton fabric is used. The Super-wax designs are easily recognizable by their two dominant colors with their unique natural cracked appearance. A third color can sometimes be added, but without this cracked effect. The drawings are also visible on both the spot and the back of the fabric.
Java prints are different from wax because wax is not part of their manufacturing process. The Java fabrics therefore make it possible to create very delicate and detailed patterns, in original, multiple and varied colors. Traditionally vivid and rich colors create colorful and vibrant fabrics with splendid effects.
